Prof. Yakov Kuzyakov and his Ph. D student, Anna, from the department of Soil Science, University of Goettingen, Germany, and Xu Xingliang, the associate professor in Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resource Research, gave important and interesting lectures in Institute of Subtropical Agricultural (ISA)on 28th Jun.

Prof. Yakov Kuzyakov has worked on the application of radioactive isotopes and technology research of stable isotopes on soil carbon and nitrogen cycle for more than 20 years and has lots of extensive experience. In his lecture, firstly, he gave us a brief instruction about Göttingen University, and then divided his report into three parts to showed us how to use isotope labeling doing research work.

Prof. Xu Xingliang is associate professor in Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resource Research, CAS. He mainly engages in the biogeochemical cycling in grassland ecosystem. His lecture mainly focused on isotopes and he showed us his work and gave some important results.

Anna also gave us an interesting lecture about her work using isotope labeling methods. After each lectures, all of them talked with faculty members, as well as Ph.D. students from Professor Wu Jinshui’s research group. They not only answered our puzzled questions patiently but also gave us some good and useful advises to use isotope labeling. All the professors’s interesting lectures about Isotope Labeling are Popular with ISA Ph.D. Students.
