Dr. Youming Zhang, the chief technology officer of Germany Gene Bridges, visited Institute of Subtropical Agriculture (ISA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on April 14th, following the invitation from Key Laboratory of Agro-ecological Processes in Subtropical Region, ISA, CAS. Dr. Zhang visited the Key Laboratory of Agro-ecological Processes in Subtropical Region, ISA, CAS, and made an academic report entitled “Method and Application for Producing Antimicrobial Peptides with Gene Engineering" during the visiting period. He introduced some new ideas and methods for producing antimicrobial peptides with gene engineering, and introduced molecular biology methods for engineering bacteria construction, gene knockout and gene cloning. After the academic report, Dr. Zhang put forward opinions about how to publish high-level papers in Nature and Science, combining with his own experiences; he also discussed how to jointly publish research papers in Nature Protocol and other journals in the future.
