The fifth International Symposium on Animal Nutrition, Health and Feed Additive (2011) was convened successfully in Changsha on May 26, 2011. Key Laboratory of Agro-ecological Processes in Subtropical Region (Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, CAS), Hunan Engineering and Research Center of Animal and Poultry, Hunan Animal Nutrition and Ecological Environment Organization sponsored the conference in collaboration with Sunhy Biology Co., Ltd.. Dr. Larry Reynolds from North Dakota State University and Dr. Robert C Burghardt, Dr. Gregory Johnson, Dr. Guoyao Wu from Texas A&M University, Dr. Samon X Yang from University of Guelph , Dr. Juqiang Lin from Fujian Normal University, Dr. Zong Cao from Changsha University of Science & Technology, Dr. Yin Zhou from Sunhy Biology Co., Ltd. gave wonderful lectures about maternal nutrition and fetal development, the utilizations of amino acids by animal, the application and evaluation system of enzyme, the applications of optical microscopy, Raman spectroscopy and bionano sensing technology in the research of animal science. Specialists and delegates amounting to 100 attendees participated in the conference and discussed the progress and new challenge of animal nutrition, health and feed additive.
