On June 17 to 19, Professor Xia Yiji, from Hong Kong Baptist University visited to the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Sciences for academic exchanges. He made a wonderful academic report entitled "Redox signaling and oxidative stress response” which introduced details of plant molecular mechanism of oxidative stress regulation and the latest research. Report attracted many experts and students coming to listen.

During the visit , Professor Xia Yiji and Xia xinjie research group made deeply discussions on "rice male sterile gene and stress related functional genes". Both sides will carry out new cooperation on "protein interaction function and protein functional groups " and other fields .
