Forum of Scientific Frontier and Research Innovation in Agro-Ecology was held in Changsha on May 3, 2012. It was the first time that this forum was held in the field of agro-ecology and in ISA’s history. 

Forum Spot

The forum was organized by Key Laboratory of Agro-ecological Processes in Subtropical Region, Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISA). More than 150 attendees from home and abroad attended this forum.
Eight senior scientists delivered presentations on various aspects, such as the latest research theories, the latest research progress of agro-ecology and the scientific research methods and so on, which arouse a great interest among all the attendees. research collaboration in agro-ecology field. During the forum, four young researchers were selected to report on their recent research and they had a hot discussion with the eight invited guests and other scientists. 
ISA director WANG Kelin addressed that ISA took the forum as a best platform for grasping the frontier domains of agro-ecology, exchanging among different regions, forward looking the development and carrying out innovative researches.
“Forum of this kind represents a high academic level of agro-ecology and it must be held regularly.” emphasizes WANG at the end of the forum.
