During March 20th to 23rd, 2009, the experts group including Qinxue Wang, Feitian Xionger from Japanese National Environmental Institute, visited ISA, CAS. Prof. Kelin Wang, director of ISA, prof. Jinshui Wu, the director of Academic Committee and the Key Laboratory for Agro-ecological Processes in Subtropical Region, ISA, CAS, and the other researchers together with visiting experts conducted further discussion on the carbon cycling research of subtropical paddy ecosystem. On the past cooperation basis, the two sides agreed that a broader cooperation on "carbon and nitrogen accumulation mechanisms of subtropical paddy ecosystem, the research on observation and model of greenhouse gas emissions, and the other fields, will be developed.

During the visit, the two experts collated the flux monitoring systems of paddy ecosystem set up in Taoyuan station.(March 6th, 2009)
