On June 17th to 18th, Prof. Mitsuru Osaki, the chief coordination official of 2009 Asia Annual Symposium from JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science), Mr. Naotoshi Ikemi, International Program Associate of JSPS Beijing Office, and Ms. An Jiang, Assistant of  JSPS Beijing Office, invited by Professor Tan Zhi-liang, the vice director of ISA, accompanied by Chen Wei-ping, the senior manager of International Cooperation Bureau, CAS, visited ISA and the Key Laboratory of Agro-ecological Processes.

During the visit, both sides consulted about the ASIA SCIENCE SEMINAR on "Sustainable Eco-Design of Our Future on Food- and Bio-production", which will be sponsored by the JSPS and CAS, and held by Japanese Hokkaido university and ISA. Both sides have reached the consensus on the overall framework of the Symposium, which will be opened on Jan 7-14, 2010, in Changsha.
