Dr. Zhong Cao, from the Life-science Promotion Sector of Japan Hitachi Central Institute, invited by the Key Laboratory of Agro-Ecological Processes in Subtropical Region, CAS, visited the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture on May 19. During his visitation, Dr. Cao presented a lecture titled “The Application of Biological Chip and Biological Nano-sensor Technology in the Detection of Biological Activity and Harmful Substances.” He introduced the development of this filed in recent years in Japan, and he also introduced the theory, method, application and prospect of the Biological Chip Technology. Then, Dr. Cao visited the Key Laboratory accompanied by Professor Yulong Yin. Dr. Cao suggest the interdisciplinary studies are important and innovative in scientific research, and hope to set up a close cooperation relationship with the Key Laboratory and to further promote the application of Biological Nano-sensor Technology in the agro-ecological processes research.
