On November 5, Professor Paul Carriere from University of Montreal, Canada, who invited by Professor Yin Yu-long, visited Institute of Subtropical Agriculture (ISA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences. During his visiting of the Key Laboratory for Agro-ecological Processes and Research Center of Animal Healthy Feeding of ISA, He made two academic reports entitled “Networking in Bovine Reproduction Research and Knowledge Transfer to the Farm” and “Fatty Acid Nutrition Effects on Ovarian & Uterine Function”.

Professor Paul Carriere introduced the situation on dairy industry of Canada and the research advances in ovarian and uterine function affected by fatty acids. He expressed his great interest in a series of patented products of arginine activator additive He thought that the ongoing research field on the relationship between functional amino acids or carbohydrates and animal health in ISA kept ahead in the world on animal nutrition and physiology. Meanwhile, he and scientists from ISA discussed some co-interesting fields and the co-operation opportunities with the research team leaded by Prof. Yin Yulong.
