The Third International Symposium on Sustainable Agriculture for Subtropical Regions (ISSASR-3 2015)
The Third International Symposium on Sustainable Agriculture for Subtropical Regions (ISSASR-3 2015) will be held in Changsha, Hunan Province, China during October 18-21, 2015.(http://issasr2015.csp.escience.cn/dct/page/1)
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to invite you to attend this event. We are honored to host this symposium, and look forward to welcoming our friends and colleagues from China and from all over the world.
This symposium will address the production and environmental innovation needed for the development of sustainable agricultural policies and practice in subtropical zones worldwide. Symposium activities will address the following four themes: Asia-Pacific Food Security in the 21st Century; Agricultural Innovation for Improved Productivity; Agriculture, Environment and Climate Change; and Developing the Next Generation of Farmers. The Program Committee has set broad objectives for this symposium. Our aim is to ensure that ISSASR-3 can explore in some depth each of these four themes.
Building upon the success of previous symposia, the ISSASR series has grown to include over 30 institutions and universities. It has built strong collaborations around strategically important challenges in Sustainable Agriculture with a focus on innovation and the delivery of practice change. ISSASR-3 is expected to consolidate and expand these collaborations.
While attending the ISSASR-3 2015 in the City of Changsha, China, we know that you feel completely at home. We have planned several social and cultural events for you to enjoy and to learn more about China, a country and a people well known for their cultural diversity. We hope that you will take the opportunity to socialize, network and establish new collaborations. The symposium will also provide an excellent opportunity to renew and build upon existing collaborations.
Registration will be open from November 14th 2014 and hotel reservation should be made directly with the hotel by phone or email or can be done through ISSAR-3 Secretariat and the office of the Secretary General.
We extend the warmest welcome to all of you and look forwarding to welcoming you to China, to Changsha and to the ISSAR-3.
Sincerely,
Chair: Dr. Jinshui, Wu, Institute of Subtropical Agriculture (ISA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China
