International Symposium on Key Technologies of Healthy and High-Quality Swine Production First Held in Changsha

The International Symposium on Key Technologies of Healthy and High-Quality Swine Production was held in Changsha during June 20th -June 25th. It was the first time that symposium on this topic has held in China.
The five-day symposium attracted almost 400 experts from all over the world. The experts discussed key issues such as the improvement of the swine breeds, prevention and control of the swine diseases, the utilization of the protein feed stuffs and the measurements of the pollution during the swine production. All experts agreed that those issues must be solved and high quality and safety of the swine industry must be shaped only through collaboration and innovation.
In the symposium, Academician of Chinese Academy Engineering(CAE)CHEN Huanchun introduced some new disease newly emerged in the pig farms these years and posted some suggestions on the prevention of these diseases. Dr Moughan, expert from Royal Society of London, gave a speech on animal nutrition research. Other expects also shared some fantastic presentations on various topics.
Sponsored by Strategic Alliance on National Swine Industrial Technology Innovation (SANSITI) and organized by Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Science (ISA), this symposium played an active role in promoting the development of healthy and high-quality swine production and will form and strengthen new ties in the field of swine production between China and othe developed countries.
