  From May 15 to 23, 2026, professor Matthias Hess, a Hellman Fellow and renowned microbiologist from the University of California, Davis, revisited the Institute of Subtropical Ecology Agriculture for collaborative research and academic exchange. He was invited by Professor Tan Zhiliang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture and Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

  National University of Laos Delegation Visited the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Sciences for Academic Exchange

  From May 18 to 23, Associate Professor Viengsakoun Napasirth from the National University of Laos (NUOL) led a delegation to the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISA-CAS), at the invitation of Dr. Yan Qiongxian from the ISA-CAS Livestock Healthy Breeding and Agro-ecological Complementary System Research Center. The visit focused on academic exchange and specialized training in microbial experimental techniques.

• "Karst Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem Resilience Enhancement Project" from Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Selected for UNESCO's International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development Framework

  On November 28th, the "Karst Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem Resilience Enhancement Programme" (referred to as Karst Biodiversity Programme), organized and submitted by Professor Chen Hongsong from the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was successfully selected as an implementing initiative for the UNESCO-led International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (IDSSD) for the period 2024-2033.
